Countercurrents

Countercurrents follows journalist Veronica and her new roommate – her mother Rong, who has turned to 5G conspiracy theories to treat her debilitating chronic pain. As their worldviews drift apart, both women wrestle with how to live with someone they no longer like, but still can't help but love.
This project is made possible with the support of the MAI (Montréal arts, interculturels)'s Studio Residency program. This project is also made possible, in part, through funding from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Alumni Microgrant Program.
