Join us for an unforgettable evening of Inside Madpoetix Studios on Friday, May 9, 2025, featuring an exclusive live interview with visionary singer-songwriter and spiritual sound alchemist RACHELLE RAW! 

Hosted by the incomparable Kym Dominique-Ferguson (@Mrkdferguson), this night promises deep conversation, electrifying performances, and the magic of Black artistic excellence.

 8 Open Mic Spots (5 mins each) – Poets, singers, comedians, musicians—ALL genres welcome! (Theme-inspired pieces encouraged!)
 Feature Interview + Performance with Rachelle Raw – A transcendent journey through Mantra Funk, acapella power, and drummed liberation.

From Madison Square Garden to the streets of Berlin, singer Rachelle Jeanty shed layers of her colonized mind to become Rachelle Raw. Once a protegé on Celine Dion’s world tour, she left pop’s glamour to reclaim her Negritude and spirituality—now central to her Mantra Funk sound. Using only her acapella voice and drum, she crafts a funky, spiritual voyage of triumph and transcendence. Don’t miss this raw, soul-shaking performance!

De Madison Square Garden aux rues de Berlin, la chanteuse Rachelle Jeanty s'est dépouillée des couches de son esprit colonisé pour devenir Rachelle Raw. Ancienne protégée de la tournée mondiale de Céline Dion, elle a quitté le glamour de la pop pour retrouver sa Négritude et sa spiritualité - désormais au cœur de son son Mantra Funk. N'utilisant que sa voix a cappella et des percussions, elle crée un voyage spirituel et funky de triomphe et de transcendance. Ne manquez pas cette performance brute et bouleversante !
